Hall of Famer, Kirby Puckett came out last night to Mancini’s in St Paul and asked to sit in with The Midas Touch. I was pleasantly surprised by his voice. He sang “It’s A Wonderful World”, which was made famous by Louis Armstrong. Needless to say the audience loved it and wanted an encore so… At Kirby’s request, we did… Wonderful World… AGAIN(!?!)
He did seem to enjoy himself, and liked my playing… “You’re awesome, dawg” (that means he liked me, right?)
Stop out any time Kirby, just learn one more song for that inevitable encore. Tonight I’ll be playing for “Joy Divine’s” jazz performance debut. Stop out and give her your support.
Peace
